Welcome to St. Clair, Missouri. As the newly elected Mayor in April 2021, I wanted to introduce myself and explain a little bit more about my background, as well as some of the goals and ideas that I have in mind for St. Clair.
My name is Cozy Bailey, I have a beautiful wife and three wonderful children. I was born and raised here in St. Clair. I am a proud member of St. Clare Catholic and a St. Clair High School Alumni. For the past 11 years, I have owned and operated a local landscaping company, Cozy By Nature.
I am a current member and officer of the St. Clair Elks Lodge, St. Clair Downtown District, St. Clair Historical Museum and St. Clair Area Chamber of Commerce. I enjoy volunteering and being actively involved in the community through assisting the Friends of the Library with the community gardens, landscaping and maintenance at City Hall, local City Parks, St. Clare Catholic Church and downtown Main Street. Another project that I am actively involved in is the banner basket program with the building department.
As mayor, I would like to bring positive changes to the City of St. Clair and continue to make it grow. I will bring my business ownership experience to help me successfully manage and run the city by utilizing my leadership skills, hard work, dedication, accountability, responsibility and transparency.
My top priorities for the City of St. Clair include the development of city owned properties, continued improvements of the city streets, curb and gutter, engagement in citywide community events and additional beautification projects. I hope to continue to preserve local history including Route 66 and collaborate with St. Clair residents to create a united community that fosters economic growth.
My overall vision for the city in the next several years includes bringing revenue to St. Clair by utilizing and developing the airport property to benefit all members of the community and continued improvement are my top priorities.
