Manufactured/ Mobile Homes

The City of St. Clair requires a permit to be obtained any time a Manufactured or Mobile Home is installed or removed from any site within City limits. The reason for this requirement is to ensure that the home(s) are installed per City regulations; the Public Service Commission and Housing and Urban development regulations and to ensure that all utilities have been property connected or disconnect and that there are no unsafe on-site conditions present.

For the time being a Building Permit Application will need to be completed and submitted along with a $30.00 Pad Inspection Fee; a $50.00 Electrical Inspection Fee; and a $25.00 Final Inspection Fee. We are working at updating our requirements and will be posting a new and specific Manufactured/ Mobile Home Removal and Installation Application; a Submittal Requirement check list and a Inspection checklist in the near future.
